Brooklyn Tech Triangle
Helping Brooklyn Transition a Tech Triangle into an Innovation Coastline
Watch out, Silicon Valley.
Brooklyn is among the fastest growing hubs of technology in the country. What started out as the Tech Triangle has burgeoned into an entire Innovation Coastline.
And where there are tech and innovation, there’s NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
At the MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn, you’ll find classrooms, faculty labs, and a well-equipped MakerSpace where if you can dream it, you can prototype it. Right across the street is the newly renovated MTA Building, 370 Jay Street, home to NYU’s multidisciplinary programs at the intersection of emerging media, technology, and art.
With our new New York City-designated Augmented and Virtual Reality Lab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and our network of business incubators, including Digital, Urban, and Veterans Future Labs, we’re helping make the borough we call home a mecca for the world’s most forward-thinking, entrepreneurial, and creative people.
At NYU Tandon, we know progress is made faster and problems are tackled more effectively when academic, public, and private institutions join forces.
We’re proud to partner with several fine groups to achieve our common goals: making our city — and the whole world — a safer, healthier, more sustainable, better connected, place.
Things to See and Do in Brooklyn
Nicknamed “the borough of neighborhoods” for its many diverse and distinctive enclaves, you’ll find that Brooklyn is a unique and exciting place that lends itself to endless exploring. The School of Engineering is within walking distance from some of the world’s best art, music, food, and shops, and only a quick subway ride or walk across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan.
Brooklyn, like Manhattan, is both truly global and truly American with its entrepreneurial roots and magnet-like attraction for ambitious dreamers, talented upstarts, sophisticated jetsetters, and academic trailblazers.
